Welcome to my website. I’m Natalja Voronkova, a self-taught artist. Since 2006, I’ve lived and worked in the charming town of Franeker in Friesland, the Netherlands.  Here, in my studio, I bring my passion for visual art to life, a space where emotions, ideas and abstract worlds take shape.

My artistic journey began with a deep-seated urge to create.  Without formal art education, I’ve spent years exploring various materials techniques and art movements, always seeking new ways to express the invisible through form and colour.  My work draws heavily on abstract expressionism avant-garde design and the interplay between chaos and order.  Inspiration comes from nature the human psyche music textures dreams and everyday details.

I work with a diverse range of media including acrylics oil paints pastels ink textiles plastics and digital art.  Sometimes my work is spontaneous and intuitive with bold brushstrokes or layered mixed media.  Other times I build it up deliberately layer by layer searching for harmony and contrast. My style oscillates between abstraction and figuration stillness and energy.
